My family and I are moving to Nashville soon, so I can attend college. Just out of curiosity, does Nashville have a Russian and/or Ukrainian community? I was looking into the area and found a Russian Orthodox church, a Slavic grocery store, and several Russian restaurants. Plus, the university I will attend offers several Russian language courses.

I am not exactly looking for statistics, but for answers from personal experience. Best answer gets 10 points!

Visit the parish finder page of the "Assembly of the Canonical Orthodox Bishops of North and Central America", to which almost all Greek, Russian, Ukranian, Carpatho-Russian, Bulgarian, etc. bishops in the US, Canada and Mexico belong.

Check the Russian (ROCOR) and Ukrainian (UOCUSA) boxes, and see which Orthodox churches are close to Nashville. It's a religious sample, of course, and not all Russians and Ukrainians belong to a church. But it's a clue. The OCA box can also help, but they can be other-than-Russian parishes. I see only one Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia mission parish and one OCA mission parish, FWIW, and one Serbian parish.

The assumption is that you are asking about Nashville, Tennessee but there are 12 cities in America that are named Nashville: Nashville, Arkansas Nashville, Georgia Nashville, Illinois Nashville, Indiana Nashville, Kansas Nashville plantation, Maine Nashville, Michigan Nashville, Township Martin County Minnesota Nashville, Town North Carolina Nashville, Village Ohio Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee Nashville, Forest County, Wisconsin The question can really only be correctly answered after you indicate which Nashville you are referring to.

yes

there would not be a church, groceries or restaurants out there if there were no Russians there
