I've been attending Sandy Hill Camp in North East for the past several summers, but I am unable to go this year. I am looking for a new sleepaway camp. I dont want to go to a super religious camp. Preferably in the MD, southern PA, or northern VA area.

Hello~

I know of three sleep away camps (all non-religious) all located in PA that you should look into. The first one is Pine Forest Camp. It's actually one of the oldest summer camps in the country and it's basically a fun, traditional coed camp! The second one I know of is called Camp Chen-A-Wanda. It's basically an active sports summer camp that campers fall in love with each summer they are there! The last one is Independent Lake Camp. It is also a traditional summer camp that balances out sports and the arts where you have the flexibility of choosing your own schedule. Below are the links to these websites:

Pine Forest Camp: http://www.choicecamps.com/overnight-summer-camps/pennsylvania/pine-forest-camp/134/

Camp Chen-A-Wanda: http://www.choicecamps.com/overnight-summer-camps/pennsylvania/camp-chen-a-wanda/93/

Independent Lake Camp: http://www.choicecamps.com/overnight-summer-camps/pennsylvania/independent-lake-camp/94/

Also, you should check out this website that I used: http://www.choicecamps.com. You'll be able to narrow down your search of summer camps, compare camps, check out their activities, watch dvds and view pictures.

I hope I was helpful! Let me know if you have more questions.

in case you would be interested in attending a Christian camp, The Salvation military on your section grants summer season camps that are the two loose or at an fairly low fee. Camps are provided via age point, and infrequently via interest (occasion: music camp). touch any Salvation military workplace for greater techniques.

check out your local Y. or usually known as the YMCA. alot of the times, they have camps you can sleepaway or just the day. usually the sleepaway are reallly fun and are about 120-200 dollars for about two or three weeks. (sleepaway.)
